SPANISH beauty Elen Rivas poses naked and bleeding in a hard-hitting campaign against bullfighting.

The ex-fiancée of England footie ace Frank Lampard appears with four spears in her back in the controversial ad by animal rights group PETA.

Campaigners hope the ad will persuade British tourists not to see a bullfight while on holiday in Spain, where the sport is still widespread.

Model Elen, 36, who recently dated singer Peter Andre, said: "My ad might be graphic, but it's nothing compared to the bloody, violent reality of bullfights.

"Most Spaniards are opposed to this barbaric blood sport, and PETA and I are urging tourists not to be fooled by the industry's propaganda.

"There is absolutely nothing romantic about torturing and killing animals for entertainment."

The ad is set to stir up a new debate on bullfighting in Spain.

The Canary Islands were the first Spanish region to ban it in 1991. Catalonia, whose capital Barcelona is Elen's home city, recently followed suit.

But many cities elsewhere have at least one event a week during the bullfighting season from April to September.

The most famous festival is in Pamplona, which features bullfights as well as the famous Running of the Bulls.

PETA campaigner Mimi Bekhechi said: "In a typical bullfight, men on blindfolded horses drive lances into the bull's back and neck, impairing the animal's ability to lift his head.

"Finally, after the animal has become weak from blood loss, the matador attempts to kill the bull but often only succeeds in further maiming the animal."

She recently completed the London Marathon in a very respectable five-and-a-half hours and is clearly keen to show off the results after her months of training.

Mother-of-two Elen Rivas looked stunning as she lounged by the pool of her hotel in Spain, wearing a sexy black monokini which flattered her toned curves and highlighted her lithe figure.

There were no signs of any lumps or bumps as Elen made the most of the sunshine on her well-earned trip to Barcelona, pulling off the notoriously difficult-to-wear monokini with aplomb.

So it's no wonder the 35-year-old model, who recently said she's in the 'best shape of my life', attracted a few admiring glances as she sauntered casually around the pool and cooled off with a dip in the swimming pool. 

And if Elen was aiming to make ex-boyfriend Peter Andre jealous with her sexy poolside outfit, she has surely succeeded.

The pair split this month after five months of dating, and 38-year-old Peter recently insisted he will work hard to stay friends with the Spanish star.

He told heat magazine recently: 'We're mates, and if we had stayed together that could have been ruined. We never argued and if the relationship had continued, we would have started to row.

'We never saw one another. I am so busy and so is Elen, and in my heart, I knew that the relationship was never going to step up to the next level. We weren't going to get married. We are better off as friends - and we are.'

And Peter stayed true to his word when he encouraged fans on Twitter to sponsor Elen in her London Marathon bid.

Elen completed the Marathon in aid of the charity Wellbeing of Women, and told her followers on Twitter she found the whole experience very emotional.

She tweeted: 'Hiya,what an amazing day was yday at the marathon.The atmosphere was superb. I must say it was incredible seeing a all that people running.

'Finally I got in the finish line after 5.5hrs with 2 massive blisters in my big toes..I feel like a truck has run over me..lol.'

You'd expect to see her sipping cocktails on the beach.

But Elen Rivas looked ready to feast on an enormous takeaway in the Miami sunshine.

The Spanish model strolled along the shoreline with a friend, carrying oodles of plastic containers that are typical of greasy spoon packaging.

The girls each held a carrier bag with three polystyrene packages inside despite the blazing 28 degree heat that was more suited to a light ice lolly.

Elen still showed off an enviable body in a black two-piece, complete with shades and a hat, as she soaked up the rays barefoot.

And while most mere mortals can afford a measly one week holiday, Elen has been relishing the American dream for nearly three weeks.

Last month on July 18 the former Dancing On Ice contestant tweeted: 'In the plane, we're off to Disney world n then Miami. Big kiss to everyone.'

She also appeared to get excited about the portion sizes our friends across the Atlantic dish up.

Sunkissed Elen was cautious not to damage her skin by applying plenty of lotion throughout the course of the afternoon.

While she seemed to be enjoying a children-free day, Elen has two little ones with footballer Frank Lampard who judging from her excitable tweets about Disneyland were on the trip with her.

The 36-year-old was formerly engaged to the Chelsea ace, with the couple going on to have daughters Luna, 6, and Isla, 4.

But after seven years together, the couple went their separate ways and announced their split in February 2009.

While Elen has been relatively unlucky-in-love, enjoying a brief fling with Peter Andre, Frank is now in a relationship with Christine Bleakley, 32. 

The pair announced in June that they plan to marry after the sportsman, 33, proposed with a £120,000 ring.
